Thou Art the Christ

Everything gets fixed when my mind is fixed on Him.

We can do that by reading the written word, the Bible, meditating on what we read, and we may receive new revelation and inspiration similar to what Peter received when Jesus asked him and the disciples who the Son of Man is. They answered, in essence, “Some people say this person, others say that,” but then Jesus got specific, as He has a way of doing, and said: “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered by saying: “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Then Christ followed up with the great definition of the witness of the Spirit, as He said to Peter: “Blessed art thou, Simon [Peter]: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven;” in other words, “Bless you, Simon Peter, no man told you that. You received that from my Father which is in Heaven.”

Do we know that from the Word, or from our experience? I pray both. It is so important that Jesus went on to proclaim that that revelation would be the way His church would be built. Why? So the gates of Hell could not prevail against it.
