The Blessedness of Nothingness

This nothingness which surrounds me, keeping me from bumping into others and things, and which holds me up and allows me to freely move about -what is it? Is it the same nothingness that God used to speak the Earth into being, including you and me? It is written:

“For in him we live, and move, and have our being … For we are also his offspring.”

(Acts 17:28)

Is it perhaps our God space?

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

(John 16:7)

Jesus told his disciples he had to go away, but that he would send the the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. So I wonder if his Spirit permeates this nothingness and becomes the very air we breathe.

Are there no absolutes? Well, we absolutely could not live if it were not for this nothingness. So I ask: is nothing more than everything? Consider this …

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

(2 Corinthians 4:18)
